Why the US hates the ICC so much

In a piece for the IPG Journal, I explain the reasons underlying the decision of the US to authorise sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC).

I argue that the US supports international organisations as long as it has some control over them. Since the usual mechanisms, such as cutting budgets or simply withdraw from an organisation, are not working at the ICC the US openly attacks.
