In Berlin, I presented my ‘Erzberger’ biography at an event of the Catholic Academy.
Marking the 100th anniversary of Matthias Erzberger’s assassination on 26 August, I discussed the book with professor Siegfried Weichlein of the University of Fribourg.
We spoke about Erzberger’s role in politics and the influence of his catholic faith, how he turned from war propagandist to peace maker, and how his ideas shaped the world after the war.
