Dutch radio interview: 125 years of peace and justice in The Hague

In an interview with the Dutch public broadcaster NPO Radio 1, I spoke about 125 years of peace and justice and the evolution of modern multilateralism in The Hague.

In the history programme OVT, I talked about my new book “The dream of The Hague”.

“At a time of growing pressure on international law, rising international tensions and armaments, diplomat Benjamin Duerr looks back with melancholy on the first peace conference, which took place at The Hague exactly 125 years ago. And on the enthusiasm to end wars through the establishment of a system of international law.”
